From Cubist Sandals to Colorblock Dreams—The Birth of a Bold New Collection

Sometimes, the right shoe doesn’t just complete an outfit—it ignites an entire creative journey.
I was scrolling online one night when I stumbled across the Cubist Sandal. One look, and I was done for. Bold blocky heels, unapologetic color clashes, architectural perfection. It wasn’t just footwear—it was wearable sculpture. The palette? A punchy mix of red-orange, minty green, deep plum (aubergine), creamy vanilla, electric blue, and matte black. The silhouette? Straight from a Bauhaus-meets-Play-Doh dream.
I didn’t just fall in love. I fell into creation mode.
The first piece I designed was a sweatshirt. Not just any sweatshirt, but one I knew I’d wear as a dress. Oversized, floral-accented numbers “76” splashed across a riot of colorblocks that mirrored the exact hues and geometry of the sandals. This sweatshirt was meant to be a celebration—of color, of confidence, of cubist swagger.
Next, I created three pairs of wide leg pants to keep the vibe alive from every angle. One pair is clean and graphic—large, bold colorblock panels in the exact same hues from the shoes. The second pair turns the volume all the way up with layered horizontal stripes and asymmetry that echo the chunky heels. The third strikes a balance between the two, marrying chaos and clarity in a visual remix I’d happily wear every day.
Then came the cropped pullover—the perfect top to pair with the pants or throw on solo for a punch of energy. Short-sleeved, elastic waist, and bursting with saturated stripe patterns and geometric mischief, it’s the most versatile piece in the bunch. I wanted it to feel easy, breathable, and boldly wearable.
Finally, I rounded it out with a knitted crewneck sweater. This one leans into punchy pop art geometry. It’s so bold and fun that I’ve already claimed it as a dress for myself. Paired with boots or worn over tights, it brings the Cubist Sandal’s attitude full circle—comfortable enough to live in, but never boring.
This six-piece collection isn’t just an homage—it’s a full-on love letter to that one perfect shoe. Every item is crafted from lightweight, eco-poly athletic fabric (except the knit, of course), meaning they’re quick-drying, wrinkle-resistant, and machine washable. Think: swimsuit-meets-statement-piece.
Soon, I’ll be posting photos and a TikTok video showing how I personally style the sweatshirt and sweater as dresses. Because let’s be real—when you design with that much color, the world deserves to see it in motion.
So here’s to the power of one perfect shoe—to stop you mid-scroll, shake your creative soul, and inspire a whole new world of color.
Stay tuned. It’s about to get loud. You can check out the full collection here.
